"The captain and crew were paradigms of exceptional service. The chef created fantastically savory meals, each a unique and special event. We took several hikes on different islands, and a member of the crew showed us interesting flora and beautiful sights. They were very professional and polite, doing so much to keep us all very well cared for, and doing so in such a way that we seemed alone - until we needed something. Then, they were there immediately, often even before we asked for something.

They brought us to the most private shorelines, coaxing nearby dolphins to follow and play with the boat for a while. They kept the boat cleaned and comfy, so that we could sit anywhere while watching the light dance on the indigo waters. Fantastic captain, crew, scenery and time! "(Our) Mediterranean adventure started in Marmaris, where we met our crew from Zephyria Yachting along with the breathtaking luxury gulet, Zephyria II: 32m long, all polished, dark wooden decks, padded seats and tall, white sails. Captain Alp has a ponytail so is immediately dubbed Captain Jack Sparrow. The rest of the six-strong Turkish crew are a lovely bunch, all amused at our idea of fun (cocktails and pole dancing to Britney Spears).

Everything was simple. Wake up whenever, breakfast, swim, sun bake, lunch, plus there was a speedboat with water skis and a wakeboard. The highly anticipated family cocktail hour rolled around at 6.30pm, and the evening meal featured delicacies such as smoked eggplant puree with a traditional lamb ragout or baked fish with wild rice salad.
